Made from own root Shiraz grapes planted in 1968 by Peter and Eleni Markeas. Aged for 12 months in 100% French oak hogshead Barrels for a minimum of 12 months. The palate shows an abundance of black pepper and red berries. Aging has amplified noted of vanilla from the French oak and we are also seeing some Tabacco. Drinking well NOW!
Bottled in 2008, Jim Markeas (the winemaker) has been tasting yearly since 2017 and decided to release 12 bottles this year.
